The Fibre Channel Industry Association
(FCIA) is organized as a not-for-profit, mutual benefit corporation. The FCIA
was formed in the fall of 1999 as a result of a merger between the Fibre Channel
Association (FCA) and the Fibre Channel Community (FCC). The FCIA currently has
more than 100 members in North America and through its affiliate organizations
in Japan.
As a California mutual benefit
corporation, the business of the FCIA is not conducted for financial gain or profit
but rather all FCIA activities and operations are coordinated and implemented
for the mutual benefit of its members.
The FCIA mission is to nurture and help develop the broadest
market for fibre channel products. This will be done through market development,
education, standards monitoring and fostering interoperability among members'
products. For more information about becoming a member, review the Application
Information Page here on this site or contact the FCIA office directly
at Info@FibreChannel.org.
