data storage testing solutions, introduced today the PassPort™
MP, the
newest member of the Satellite® analyzer product family.
The PassPort MP is
a two-channel analysis system supporting iSCSI protocol over
Gigabit
Ethernet and various storage and networking protocols over
Fibre Channel for
the development and monitoring of Storage Area Network (SAN)
devices and
applications.
The PassPort MP combines Satellite’s unrivaled hardware
platform and
powerful Satellite software within a portable chassis, making
it ideal for
analyzing IP storage devices and networks in the field or
the lab. A
standard notebook computer acts as the host system, eliminating
the need to
purchase additional equipment. The PassPort MP can be connected
anywhere on
the network or used remotely. It can be combined with I-TECH’s
other test
solutions, such as a Fibre Channel or SCSI tester or a Fibre
Channel or SCSI
analyzer within the same chassis, to provide a single comprehensive
test
system.
The PassPort MP has the same industry-recognized features
for which all
I-TECH Satellite products are known. It supports cooperative
capture
strategies across channels,allowing one channel to monitor
the status of the
other channel. I-TECH’s patented hardware search capability
provides search
operations in seconds,
not minutes. Hardware indexing of trace data displays trace
views without
the need for postprocessing. Prefiltering can be applied to
extend the
effective trace memory depth from 320 MB per channel to gigabytes
per
channel.
