FCIA Sponsored Panel Brings Together Leading Vendors to Discuss FCoE Benefits PHOENIX, Ariz (Storage Networking World), October 12, 2009 -- The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) today announced that it will exhibit demonstrations around 8GFC (Gigabit Fibre Channel) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). Demonstrations will take place in booth #1200 at Storage Networking World (SNW), October 12th – 15th, at the JW Marriott in Phoenix, Arizona. Leading vendors will collaborate on how 8 GFC and FCoE technology work together in the data center. Companies supporting this demonstration are: Amphenol, Brocade, Cisco, Emulex, EMC, Intel, LSI, Molex, NetApp, PMC Sierra and QLogic. “For the fifth consecutive time at SNW, the FCIA will showcase breakthrough Fibre-Channel solutions — specifically FCoE and 8 GFC.” said Skip Jones, chairman FCIA. “8GFC and FCoE solutions address the escalating needs for higher performance with further cost, space and power savings that maximize existing SAN technology investments.
